Registration Update July 28

We have been able to honor all requests to attend the conference. We expect an attendance of approximately 1050 participants.

General Conference Information

• All conference events will take place in the Hilton Ballroom.
• Sign-in will take place in the registration area outside the Hilton Ballroom.
• A shuttle is available from the airport to the hotel. See the airport website ground transportation page at http://www.mccarran.com/03_shuttles_01.aspx.
• Laptops are not allowed in the conference room. We do not have adequate space and access to power for all participants.
• The weather in Las Vegas for this week is expected to reach 100+ degrees on several days. Please plan accordingly.

Conference Communications July 23

In checking for conference emails, please observe the following guidelines:

• Please check the email address provided on the registration form.
• Please check any spam filters or similar programs to ensure that conference email is not blocked.
• Please check any junk, spam, trash, or other type of folders to ensure that the conference email is not diverted.

Agenda Update August 6

The latest agenda for the conference has been posted on the Agenda page. The following changes have been made:

• The agenda for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday has been updated.
• A coding workshop has been added as a Wednesday evening event. During the workshop, we will work through scenarios for Sections G, O, and M and answer questions concerning all sections.
• An agenda for the CAA half-day on Thursday is now available.

Hotel Reservations Update August 6

Rooms are still available within the hotel block.

If you have not made your reservations, please do so as soon as possible.

• To make a reservation online, go to https://resweb.passkey.com/go/MMS2010 and follow the instructions on the web page.
• To make a reservation by phone, please use the direct line at 702-732-5111 for the best results.
• Ask for a room in the Medicare/ Medicaid MDS Conference block.
• Do not ask for a reservation specifically in your name. The hotel does NOT have a rooming list.
• The conference rate is not available through third-party booking services, so please contact the hotel directly.

Please be aware that reserving a room in the hotel block does NOT constitute registration for the conference. Only confirmed participants listed on the conference roster will be allowed access to the conference room.

Substitution Policy

If a substitution is required, please submit the substitution requirement to Ellie Parrish at eparrish@mdsnationalconference.com.

Any substitutions made for the hotel reservation will not update the conference roster. MDS National Conference staff must be notified of any changes or substitutions planned for conference participants.

Conference FAQs

• This conference does not offer any CEUs or certifications. We will provide a certificate of attendance.
• You are not required to stay at the Hilton. We are not providing transportation from any other venues to the conference, so transportation to the hotel and any associated costs are the responsibility of the participant.
• The conference runs from 8 - 5:30 on Monday through Wednesday and 8 - 5 on Thursday and Friday.
• No food or drink will be provided by the conference itself. The hotel is providing some beverage service, but all meals are the responsibility of each participant.
• We are not registering new participants on site.
